Frozen shoulder or Adhesive capsulitis is a condition resulting in stiffness and pain in your shoulder joint. The bones of our shoulder joint is covered with a joint capsule. In frozen shoulder, this joint capsule around the shoulder joint thickens, tightens and hold the joint from easy movements. Frozen shoulder usually starts with a sprain or strain of your shoulder joint
may extend upto 9 months – pain is felt with a shoulder movement associated with limited range of movements.

Diabetic patients and women above 40 years are at the higher risk of developing frozen shoulder. Patients having hyperthyroidism, lung diseases, heart diseases are also prone to develop this condition.
